1. Pick some approximate holiday dates well in advance, long before you decide where to go.
2. Make a list of the places you want to visit alongside your priorities.
3. Research the places on your initial list by consulting destination guides.
4. Research and compare prices for your flights and accommodation as early as possible.
5. Look at the prices of flights seven days either way of your ideal departure date.
6. Consider flying early in the morning or last thing at night as these flights are cheaper.
7. By researching accommodation early on you will have the pick of rooms on offer.
Cheap Fights Gatwick magazine have to disagree that we should book a holiday as early as possible. What we have seen over the years is holidays do come down in price. For example, we looked at a holiday in Spain which a year before the fly date, the holiday was nearly four thousand pounds for three adults but when it came to two months before the fly date, the holiday went down to £2,400 which is a huge saving.
In our opinion, you should keep an eye on holiday prices and stick to your budget and never go over on your budget. You can grab lots of deals if you wait nearer to the time you want to take your holiday.
