In2town Holiday Magazine warns Holiday Makers Against Holiday Scams

 holiday scams

Holiday News. In a day where we are already worried about booking holidays with travel firms after some well known travel companies have gone bust, we are now be forced to be extra careful after more and more reports are being made about holiday scam websites.

People trying to save money are using the Internet to book holidays in the UK and abroad but unfortunately some of these websites are scams where they are taking the holidaymakers money and not providing a holiday in return.

These sites look very professional and are very convincing but unfortunately once you book your holiday with them when it comes to arriving at your holiday destination you are finding that the address does not exist or you are finding that the holiday was never booked which leaves you with your money being stolen and with no where to stay after your long travel.

'Be On The Look OUt For Holiday Scams'

We are not saying do not use the internet to book your holiday because the internet is providing people with some amazing deals but what we are saying is, make sure that when you book your holiday with an online holiday company, make sure that the holiday company is a reputable travel agent or travel company that has ABTA memberships and is ATOL protected.

Another piece of good advice is to always book your holiday with a credit card; by using most popular credit cards you will find that your holiday and payment is protected.

We also recommend when booking with a high street travel agent that you do not pay cash and instead use your credit card and pay off your credit card straight away. With Thomas Cook becoming one of the biggest travel agents to be hit with the financial crisis where some travel experts believed they were about to go bankrupt, you need o make sure that you are always protected and by using your credit card, it gives you that little extra piece of mind.
