Leeds Airport Celebrate Cheap Flights Airline New Route

Leeds Airport News. Leeds Airport are celebrating today after Flybe, Europe’s regional airline have announced a new route from Leeds Airport. This is not just great news for the airport; it is also great news for people looking for cheap flights from Leeds Airport, allowing them to travel to new destinations at low cost prices.

 

Flybe will operate a new three times a week service from Leeds Bradford Airport to Knock which is on Ireland’s West Coast, where the new cheap flights will start from March 25th. This new route gives the airline a total of five routes from Leeds Airport with a choice of 88 flights a week. This new flight is on sale now from £32.99 one way including taxes and charges.

 

 

 

The airline hopes the new route will attract business people as well as holiday makers who wish to take advantage of the new route and the cheap flight prices.


Flybe’s Managing Director, Andrew Strong, says: “Flybe is committed to developing our route network out of Leeds Bradford and to keeping business and leisure travellers moving during these continued economically challenging times."


Tony Hallwood, Commercial Director at Leeds Bradford Airport adds: "As Yorkshire's Gateway Airport we believe that, as well as an opportunity to discover some of the wonders that Ireland has to offer including fabulous golf courses and beautiful scenery, many will use these new flights to visit friends and family in Western Ireland. We are confident that this new Flybe service will be a successful addition to our growing Irish route network"

Joe Gilmore, Managing Director of Ireland West Airport Knock further comments: “The addition of this direct service to Leeds Bradford with Flybe comes as a welcome new start to the year. We are delighted that Flybe continues to expand its route network out of our airport and this comes as a huge vote of confidence in our region.”


Concludes Mr Strong: “This new route between Leeds Bradford and Knock gives our passengers an additional affordable travel option and we look forward to operating our first flight later in the year.”


The news has already excited Ireland tourist board who feel this new route from Leeds Airport will attract even more tourist and could lead to other airlines offering the same route from other airports around the UK.
